Integrating Technology in Classrooms

Technology can be a very useful thing for teachers. Not only can it help the teachers to teach a lesson, it can also help to keep students focused. Most every student will find it easier and more enjoyable to do some sort of interactive learning on a computer as opposed to reading out of a book. While reading out of a book is not a bad thing, it can bore students quickly. Using the technonlgy also helps to teach the students how to use it properly. Using technonlgy more in the classroom is definately something all teachers should consider.

Technology use in the classroom is really important, especially when some students do not have access to a computer at home. For some, the classroom is the only exposure to technology children receive, which makes the teacher's role that much more important.

I agree with this blog . Getting used to technology at a young age familiarizes the students with skills they'll need not only the future of their scholastic careers but in the job market later on.

I agree with this blog. I am currently in a Technology Integration workshop and the many different ways to use technology is amazing. We are learning how to incorporate blogs, wiki, and email in the classroom. Students' attention span is so short now due to TV, video games, computer games that teachers have to use the same technology to keep up and keep the students interested and motivated. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Using technology in the classroom settings makes students more interested in learning. They have more interaction in studying than as you said, they would in a blog. Also students can learn to cooperate together maybe with lessons given in a fun computer game. They can work together to come up with answers, which will make for better cooperation skills, they will need to have in the future. This a part of student learning that every teacher should use in their classroom.

I agree with Amy. Not only do some students recieve more exposure from technology at school they are learning up to date technology education, provided by their teachers, thus allowing the students to get the most out of learning.
